Brighton Living interviewed Kathleen (illustrator) and Katherine (co-author) for their heartwarming children’s book, Eddie and Bingo: A Friendship Tale. The review includes a nice graphic of the book’s cover art and a picture of the authors. The book tells the story of Kathleen’s father, Eddie McDonald, a Navy photographer who found a puppy aboard his aircraft carrier during the Korean War. The puppy subsequently entertained the homesick men, relieving stress and lifting spirits. “I didn’t find Bingo,” Eddie would later say, as he told the story to Kathleen. “Bingo found me. He was our guardian at sea.” Read the full review here.
