Inkwater Press author Dave Fox has certainly been busy lately. Having just returned from leading another European tour for Rick Steves, Dave is about to return to his college town, Madison, WI, for the Wisconsin Book Festival, where he will speak on what he knows best: travel writing. Madison’s Isthmus newspaper recently featured an interview with Dave in their Daily Page online edition. In the interview, Dave describes his latest book, Globejotting, as “a book about travel journaling– about how to write more exciting diaries on the road… [Travel journaling] students express a couple of common frustrations with their past endeavors: Either their writing fell flat and failed to really capture the spirit of their journeys, or they just didn’t get very much recorded, because they were so immersed in the experience. Globejotting tackles both of these challenges, and teaches people how to write about their trips in ways that are meaningful and lasting.” At the Wisconsin Book Festival, Dave Fox will be contributing to a panel on “Change in Motion: Extraordinary Travel Writing” at A Room of One’s Own Feminist Bookstore at noon on Sunday, October 19.
