In a March 31st Statesman Journal article, Inkwater poet Amy Minato gives insight to her writing process and shares haikus from her poetry collection Hermit Thrush.

at the lips of a spring

in the heart of wilderness

this yearning for the sea.

and woo, splash and swoon,

fall on wet knees
