Eddie and Bingo Signing Event

Happy 4th of July from Inkwater Press!  We hope that everyone has fun plans.

Two of our authors, Katherine & Kathleen Taylor, are celebrating by having a book reading and signing event from 2–4 p.m. at Kids Club Outlet Store, in Thousand Oaks, California.

Their book, Eddie and Bingo: A Friendship Tale, tells the true story of Eddie and his buddies aboard a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier during World War II. As they cruise the Pacific Ocean they learn how important teamwork and friendships really are, especially when they meet Bingo, a precocious puppy!


Author Ken Koopman and Bob Moore interviewed on KEX 1190 AM

Ken Koopman, the author of People Before Profit: The Inspiring Story of the Founder of Bob’s Red Mill, was interviewed on the radio show The Morning Update! with Paul Linnman and Scott Lynn. The morning radio show also featured Bob Moore, the subject of Koopman’s book. The interview aired on Tuesday, April 10th. Listen to the entire interview here. Author Brian Anderson is interviewed on Staten Island Literature

Soul for Sale is the story of Creative Director Terry Wilson and his colleagues at an award-winning pressure cooker of an ad agency filled with high-profile clients and bare-knuckle politics. Williams captures the challenges of life inside—and outside—the weird and wonderful world of advertising.

Michael Scott Curnes Wins Green Book Award for Fiction

Another Inkwater author, another Inkwater win! This time we’re celebrating Michael Scott Curnes’ book For the Love of Mother, which just recently won the San Francisco Green Book Award for Fiction. The Green Book Festival is an annual literary competition that honors books that contribute to greater understanding, respect for and positive action on the changing worldwide environment. A panel of judges determined this year’s winners based on the overall writing style and presentation of the work along with the potential of the work to enhance understanding of the environment and its issues. Last year’s winner in the Green Book Festival fiction category was Margaret Atwood’s The Year of the Flood. Earlier this month, For the Love of Mother was also named an award winning finalist in the International Book Awards competition in the environmental fiction category. For more on Michael’s book, please see our bookstore. Also, Michael will be interviewed live on CBC Radio Daybreak North on Wednesday morning at 6:40 during the Written Word segment.
