What does a man do when he loses his middle-management job at age 58? Martin Bradley is faced with that problem. Having lost both his wife and his job within a few months, he faces a dual crisis. Although he is financially secure, he needs to find purpose for his life. The dilemma is largely resolved when he becomes the reluctant heir-apparent to his wayward niece's nine-year-old twins, a boy and a girl. He copes with the challenge with the assistance of two friends and a concerned social worker.
