With a bow to Maurice Sendak, Inkwater Press is celebrating the publication of Stephanie Snowe’s Meeting Mr. Wrong this week. Released for distribution on February 3, the book is making its way into the eager hands of readers nationwide. Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble.com, and Inkwaterbooks.com are now carrying this “tell all y’all” book.
So, what’s the rumpus?
Listeners of Star 102.1 can hear Frank Murphy interview Ms. Snowe on his February 13 morning show. (We know, we get it – exactly one day before Valentine’s Day.) Newspapers and magazines in Knoxville and Greenville have plans to publish stories on the author and the book. Watch The Daily Reflector in Greenville and The Knoxville News Sentinel over the next few days. And, Stephanie Snowe is scheduled to read and sign copies of her book at Barnes and Noble in Greenville, NC, at 7 p.m. on May 7.
We loved what reviewer Angela Sandelier, a.k.a CPA Mom said recently because it summed up exactly how we feel about Stephanie Snowe and Meeting Mr. Wrong:
“Internet dating. Dating after divorce. Dating as a single mom. Searching for intelligent life in the land of NASCAR. Can you think of anything more terrifying? Stephanie Snowe not only lived through ALL of that, she wrote the book on it. And I do mean ‘THE’ book, because Meeting Mr. Wrong: The Romantic Misadventures of a Southern Belle is not just any ‘true story dating book.’ It is the book that now sets the standard for all humor essays to follow. Ms. Snowe also sets the bar on how to endure the worst life has to throw at you — and how to do so with grace, wit and intelligence intact.
As funny as Ellen Seinfeld, and Tina Fey combined, Stephanie Snowe is the next, greatest humor novelist. Don’t miss out on her very first book.”
Join us in the rumpus. If you’ve read the book, let us know what you think.
