From Simpsons Writer Mike Reiss: City of Hamburgers
PORTLAND, OR – October 7, 2008: Inkwater Press is pleased to announce the publication of City of Hamburgers, a children’s picture book by Mike Reiss, writer and producer for “The Simpsons.” City of Hamburgers is the first of three books Reiss will publish with Inkwater Press.
City of Hamburgers is a quirky tale about a young boy named Jeffery who is tired of the same old fairy tales and wants to hear about Grandma’s life growing up in the old country as a Hamburger. Imagination, as well as ketchup and mustard, flow through this delightfully quirky book. The vibrant illustrations are provided by Xeth Feinberg, owner of the New York-based micro-animation studio Mishmash Media, Inc.
Fans of the Showtime animated series “Queer Duck” will be excited to find Mike Reiss and Xeth Feinberg coming together again for City of Hamburgers. “The Simpsons” and “Queer Duck” gained a loyal fan base by being off-the-wall, but still managing to relate to their audience. City of Hamburgers keeps up the tradition with its unique and endearing plot-line and animated imagery.
The author is available for interviews, by telephone or in person, depending on location. For more information, contact Colleen Welch at Colleen@inkwaterpress.com.
